06:35 am: Good morning from Wembley (I've used that subject line before)
By last night, Christopher had been given the first chemo intravenously and another lot through the spine, thankfully a general anaesthetic procedure, and woken up again, inundated with visitors including Viv, David, Matthew, the school nurse, the school deputy head, a couple of school friends, our friends Mark and Kat and quite possibly some others I've missed.
Viv couldn't hear her phone over the brouhaha, so I called Mark instead and he passed his phone round for me to talk to some of the assembled company, included Christopher himself, who sounded quite bright.
After all that, I went back into the hotel and watched the rest of the game. Lots of yellow cards and one red one. As ever, very disappointed that a major tournament collapses to a penalty shootout. Who remembers cup final replays? Isn't that the way to go? (Apparently not.)
So, today is another day. Watch this space.

I detest penalty shootouts.

And ALL - that's what Alex had. He's fine now although it was a tough two years of treatment. Thinking of you as always.

I have not read the journal for a long time. I was upset when I read about Christopher. I will be going up to the local church tommorrow and will light some candles and say a prayer or two. The treatment has begun but Christopher has got an upbeat family and a lot of friends all wishing him well just keep any germs away from him I will keep in touch with Angela she will keep me updated. Just tell Christopher to keep his cheeky smile and his chin up we are all routing for him. xxxxxx
