Probably Bob Dylan. He writes song that express many of the things I think or thought. I'm sure I could say a lot more about the song and dance man. Maybe another day.
2. What one singer/musician can you not stand? Why?
Kate Bush. Least said, soonest mended. However, I have forgiven Elvis Costello.
3. If your favorite singer wasn't in the music business, do you think you would still like him/her as a person?
This assumes that I like him/her as a person in the first place. I'm not sure that i would actually want to get to know Mr. Dylan or any of the other "stars" whose music I follow.
4. Have you been to any concerts? If yes, who put on the best show?
Where do we start? Probably with Peter Gabriel in 1977, but listing those I have seen more than once, we get, among others, Chris de Burgh, Bob Dylan, The Stranglers, The Enid, U2, Cliff Richard, Sea Stone, The Alarm, 11th Hour and others. One off, we have Dire Straits, the Buzzcocks, Mike Oldfield, After the Fire, Thin Lizzy, Yes, ... many of these and others more than 20 years ago. Lots of Christian bands not well known too.
5. What are your thoughts on downloading free music online vs. purchasing albums? Do you feel the RIAA is right in its pursuit to stop people from dowloading free music?
Much of the stuff I want to buy is not available at all any more. I might download stuff to see what it's like, and then I'd be likely to buy it or delete it, depending on whether it's any good.
