and for about another twenty. Friday: each of us at different end of year events. By the time we go to hear Howard Shore conducting the N Z S O on Saturday evening, staying awake could be a problem. Or possibly the Lord of the Rings Symphony won't be soporific. Next Monday, of course, the Capital will be in turmoil as the celebrations for the Premiere take over the city. Road closures, a stop to road works, a street party and a free showing of TTT on a giant screen at Queen's Wharf. Fun for all.

Live journal coming through loud and clear

Your last three entries came through OK but we are having a bit of a problem. Some friends of ours in London sent an email but got a message saying that the host (was that us) was blacklisted.
Did you receive our last Journal posted on Sunday,23/11/03
Hope you are all well.
LH&K to all.

Re: Live journal coming through loud and clear

If you post an article to LiveJournal, that will be visible without problem - it's not done by email (well, it can be, but that's another story).
So any LJ article you post will be fine for anyone.
As for email, there are some internet companies which are noted for sending spam (unsolicited commercial email). You may have encountered some of these messages, probably only occasionally in your case, but with great frequency for many people.
As one strategy for dealing with this unpleasantness, some internet companies will refuse to accept ANY email from some spam-friendly provider. This might be your friend's internet company, or one of the companies the email passed through on its way to you. The company in question needs to tidy up its act, or it will start to lose more and more customers. You wouldn't use a company that couldn't deliver some of your mail; it's the same with email.
