10:39 pm: 1. Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays?
Yes. I fondly remember a white Christmas in 1995, though the slush and freeze still being there by New Year was less fun. However, here in New Zealand, it's hot and sunny at Christmas, and that isn't right at all. I doubt if I will ever get used to it.

2. What is your ideal holiday celebration? How, where, with whom would you celebrate to make things perfect?
At home with the family. In the old days, relatives would come round to our house or we would go to theirs. That doesn't happen any more, possibly because we are 12,000 milese away.

3. Do you do have any holiday traditions?
Church at midnight for those who are able, and in the morning for all. Then home for lunch, which is the traditional Christmas lunch, as everyone knows well.

4. Do you do anything to help the needy?
From time to time, I will be involved in some worthy, charitable cause, but I don't have any specific cause that I support at Christmas more than at other times.

5. What one gift would you like...
A small box of crystallised fruits.
