Rather than transferring points, it is possible to book with AX direct, and they will source trans-tasman flights for you with their choice of airline, probably QF/TG/EK from 25,000 points, or NZD12,500 spend. For comparison, lowest normal return fare is NZD398. Not of general interest, but I know at least a few of you have an interest in ff schemes. See http://www.americanexpress.co.nz for more details.
