It's an early morning. Viv and I got back from the midnight service some time around 1.15am but we were up again around 6.15, to open the small presents and gifts from overseas. "Pains on Trains" is a winner, to be sure, but shirts and trousers are, of course, always welcome. The boys are listening to CDs in competition to the music playing in the main room, while wrestling with setting clocks and wearing watches. Matthew is having a go at a wooden puzzle "Gosh, this is a hard nut to crack". Ahead of us: the morning service, opening the rest of the presents, a long and festive lunch. Tomorrow: Much the same, trying to download the Queen's Speech, eating too much again.
