I came home late and Viv had already gone out to youth group, but I sat down with the boys and watched The Flipside of Dominick Hide, which arrived on Friday. Viv came home just before it finished. It is a magnificent story, and one that deserves better coverage. The DVD is miles better than the 2nd or 3rd generation videotape I used to have. The DVD also has an intelligent booklet with it setting the scene and describing how and why it was recorded.
This morning we set off early to look at the partial eclipse of the sun, but it was so overcast that we couldn't see anything, so went off for breakfast at McDonalds instead. It can't have been any good anywhere, as the New Zealand news website has published a picture of the eclipse taken in Colombia...
I sent off some parcels from the goods I sold at ebay too.
The rest of the day was taken up with taking people to meetings both social and less social. As I write this, Viv is at a Kids' Games planning meeting, David and Matthew are at a games and supper evening at Cathie's house and Christopher is sitting here reading one of the enormous Far Side books.
