10:39 pm: Hotel, convention centre, to and fro
Does "fro" exist except in the phrase "to and fro"?
Anyway, the evening is at an end, quite early for me. It was a pleasant enough evening, but I think that my time in Toastmasters would be nearing an end, even if I were to stay here. There are less people that I know; those I know have moved on from how they were when Im knew them well. Nevertheless, the organisation seems to be in reasonably good shape at national level for all that.
What's next? A good night's sleep, followed by breakfast and the breifing for the International Speech contest, followed by various other addresses, educational sessions, contests and festivities. Then it's a wait in Tauranga before my flights back to the Capital and a week preparing for the sea freight to leave us on Friday and for the O'Shea Shield at the weekend.
I hope the phone is repaired reasonably soon!

According to the OED:

Fro adv. back (now only in to and fro: see to).

So it appears not...

Also used in the vernacular, to wit

"Hey, check out the fro on that guy", a contraction of "afro"
