Yesterday was the day Viv and I both had to go to the dentist - not a good day. Viv couldn't feel her nose or half of her lip for most of the day. In the afternoon, Betty came round for a coffee: it's her road's turn not to have water at the moment, as the work moves round the district. And after the evening meal, we went off to Wirral Grammar School to listen to the talk for prospective sixth-formers. A lot of what they said didn't fit our unusual circumstances, but on the whole I am glad we went along. This morning will see us making an appointment with the Head of Sixth Form, as well as placing an order for groceries. These two don't sit comfortably side by side in the same sentence. Let's hope for a quiet day. Who knows, Morse tonight?
