Oh, good grief

Apart from memes and rubbish, nothing since last Tuesday, when according to Angela's scales, I weighed 17st exactly. For the imperially challenged, that's 238 pounds or 108kg. On my return, I didn't get the call I was expecting, but another recruiter did call and, to make a long story short, I'm going to Birmingham tomorrow for an interview with a bank.
But a lot has happened since Tuesday of last week, though I'm not sure how much I can remember by now.
Wednesday: can't really remember. It was our church housegroup in the evening. Thursday was the day that some of the details about the interview were sorted, Friday was mostly taken up sorting out the problems with a computer at a friend's house: mostly defragging, checking for viruses and spyware, installing device drivers for a printer, switching off spurious device associations and otherwise giving it a dusting down. Windows 2000.
Then it was off to Bebington to see Chris to Pathies, and then home.
Saturday morning to Harry and Viv's place: they will be off to Tanzania in less than two weeks. Then it was home and not much till the evening, when we took part in the fish and chip supper and quiz night, including such doozies as "When was the Battle of Crecy?" Yes, I know I can use Google NOW, but at a quiz night it'd frowned upon to take a laptop and a wireless connection.
Then Sunday was the usual mad scramble of services, complicated by the fact that a lunch date was cancelled at short notice. So we said stuff it, and went to the Merebrook instead.
This morning has been taken up by signing on, arranging a travel warrant, calling the recruiter to say it's ok to release my information to the jobcentre, having a haircut...later, I'll be collecting a travl warrant and converting it into a train ticket. Got to love bureaucracy.
