Oral reading competition passages

Poll #58072 Oral reading passages

In today's contest, excerpts from each of the books below were read by the contestants. Which passage did ringbark choose to read?

Mr God This Is Anna, by Fynn
0(0.0%)
One Lady at Wairakei, by Rudyard Kipling
2(33.3%)
Lady Sings The Blues, by Billie Holiday
1(16.7%)
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll
3(50.0%)

I will post the correct answer shortly, but I'm interested to hear which of these passages my friends think is most "like me".

Thank you to those of you who voted. My choice of passage was the opening section of "One Lady at Wairakei". Kipling is not by any means my favourite author, but this little book appealed to me, while the New Zealand theme is obviously an appropriate one for the audience at my Wellington club.
