Good afternoon

It was pouring with rain when I got up this morning, but it wasn't too bad. In fact, it was very warm indeed. Viv and I went off to church quite early, with the boys, as Viv was setting up the service today. Malcolm was already there, so we made the worship area ready and set up the music stands. There was no sound system today, just the voices of David, Christopher and Judith with Viv's clarinet.
Ray preached wonderfully about the light of the Epiphany. After that, a light lunch before going home. It's been washing and sorting so far this afternoon, but we are just about to have a coffee before going off to Upper Hutt Illumination Emporium to buy torches for the boys for next week's camp.
And a very happy 37th birthday to sheaj34. It doesn't seem 19 years since I rushed back from an interview in London to be at her 18th birthday party, or since the unfortunate event with the suit and the lemonade. I still hadn't had a chance to get it dry cleaned when I went off for my interview in Sheldon the following week. The rest, as they say, is history...
