A beautiful afternoon

Set off at an early hour this morning to Toastmasters, where I was introducing guests and dealing with apologies. Speeches this morning included an educational on how important the role of the general evaluator is.
At work, we were focussing on a major piece of work around transactions this morning, but lunchtime saw another AIBF seminar, this one centred on the risk management job faced by the insurance industry at present.
A half day off work this afternoon. Viv and spent a few minutes of it together before going our separate ways, but we will be back together just before 4 for David's parent teacher interviews. It really is a beautiful afternoon.
The rest of the day will go pretty much as any other Thursday - David at music practice for Sunday's service.
On Saturday, I'll be helping a Scripture Union presentation in Upper Hutt. It's a long time since I've been in anything like that, but I'm looking forward to it. Meanwhile, I have to figure out when I will fit in preparation for that, for the O'Shea oratory and for a speech about Darwin I'm giving next Thursday morning, as well as the normal levels of work, rest and play,
