A very quiet day

I spent much of the morning paying off some of my sleep debt on this first day of the holidays, and then some of the rest of the morning checking email, looking at the web and having breakfast.
For lunch, we took advantage of McDonalds text message buy-one-get-one-free promotion with some difficulty. Soon after this I set off to SBC for the next tutor session for my O'Shea orator, whose speech is coming along very well, though it needs trimming.
After tea, Viv set off for her Toastmasters meeting while I played David at mancala (lost) and Matthew at chess (lost once and drew once).
I updated some things at http://baptism.co.nz/fly/ so that it doesn't look so horrible and picked up an email from someone who wants me to certify their identity for the Thawte Web of Trust. This will bring my total to eight, close to the ten which will let me give twenty points instead of fifteen. The web of trust is a scheme by which people can identify their identities formally by face to face meetings and documentation. The end product of this is digital certificates for the certification or encryption of emails, with a level of confidence provided that the sender is who he claims he is. For more details, please visit http://www.thawte.com/html/COMMUNITY/wot/index.html - if you are in or near Wellington, email me and I can arrange certification for you too.
Tomorrow will see a visit to Wellington to pick up magazines and mail and get some dry cleaning done before we go away.
